STAY TRAINING

Don't let a past injury define you!  Don't let a current injury limit you!  Training after or around an injury can be daunting and even intimidating at times, but this doesn't have to be the case!  Did you know that rehabilitation and training fall along the same continuum.  The only difference is the absolute intensity of work.  You can still build volume.  You can still work for long durations or have a high weekly frequency.  Your goal remains to be able to create enough mechanical tension (stress) so that your body has to adapt and become stronger! 

The INTENT of training is to train bio-dynamics, develop bio-motor abilities, and enhance bio-energetics. 

The EXECUTION lies in your effort, consistency, and adherence to the program. 

The OUTCOME will be maximal movement strategies and the ability to enjoy life!

 

MY PHILOSOPHY

Any injury or adverse event in our lives will increase our stress.  However it is our perception of these stressors that determines our stress-response.  My intentions are to help others learn the strategies they need to best navigate their life-stressors.  This follows a process.  First, we have to develop self-awareness and learn our boundaries.  This allows us to know what we are capable of achieving.  Then we must begin to gain a high level competence, which will often require a coach or mentor.  Lastly, we restore our confidence in our abilities to handle adverse events.  Now we get to start challenging our boundaries and become best version of ourselves.

 

I live in St. Louis Missouri with my wife and two children and am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a strength & conditioning coach.  

I believe everything and everyone moves along a continuum.  The fitness and rehab industry is no different.  Where you and I fall is based on the accumulation of our past experiences.  However where we choose to go is up to us. 


We live in a world overloaded with information making it difficult to decipher what is right and what is wrong.  We need to learn how to filter this information to work in our favor.  

I want to meet you where you are and I want to help take you where you want to go by strategically applying the PRINCIPLES of human movement.
